About the Journal
The Gombe Journal of Geography and Environmental Studies (GOJGES) is an academic journal published twice a year (June and December) by the Department of Geography, Gombe State University, Gombe, Nigeria.
The GOJGES publishes original research papers and review articles, all of which are peer- reviewed. The papers cut across the entire subject of Geography and the realm of the field of Environmental Sciences. This provides a critical forum for geographers and environmentally oriented scholars to examine challenges of environmental problems and their solutions at local, national and international levels.
Call for Papers
The Journal welcomes the submission of manuscripts that meet the general criteria of significance and
scientific excellence. The paper should be empirical or theoretical, well researched and persuasive.
Original research articles, reviews, commentaries, and methods could also be considered. The paper
should contain introduction, synopsis of the problem, hypothesis or research questions, objective of the
paper, review of related literature and theoretical framework, method of investigation, discussion of
findings and recommendations.
